Mr. Avragam Poraz has been a counsel at Lamay Sider Rahat Tsiddon Fink, Advocates & Notaries since 2006, and joined Naschitz Brandes Amir in 2022. He obtained his LL.B degree from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
From 1977 to 1988, Mr. Poraz served as the legal advisor for two town planning committees at the Ministry of the Interior.
Between 1988 and 2006, Mr. Poraz was a member of the Knesset on behalf of the "Shinui" party. During this period, he held the positions of Chairman of the Economics Committee and the Education and Culture Committee.
From February 2003 to December 2004, Mr. Poraz held the position of Minister of the Interior.
During his many years as a member of the Knesset, Mr. Poraz led the formation of the legislative framework that created Channel 2, cable TV, and regional radio stations. He also played a leading role in the legislative procedures of various other laws and acts that currently govern the telecommunications and media sector in Israel.
