Ben Gofman is a partner in the Tel- Aviv office of Naschitz Brandes Amir, where he concentrates his practice on a broad range of civil litigation matters. He has extensive experience representing domestic and international insurance and reinsurance industry clients in complex insurance litigation and arbitration disputes. His areas of specialty also include construction disputes and various torts.
Ben has been with the firm since his internship in 2007.
- Representing Ingosstrakh Insurance Company Ltd. in court and in the arbitration against Overseas Insurance Consultants Ltd. in a multi-million USD dispute over the interpretation and the implementation of international reinsurance contracts, and its impact on the Israeli Insurance Market, which lasts more than a decade. The dispute was classified as one of the most complex and affecting controversies in the Israeli insurance market over the last decades.
- Representing Harel Insurance Company Ltd. in a USD multi-million property damage, insurance, and personal injury claim related to a hydroelectric power plant (Pumped Storage) construction project at Mt. Gilboa in northern Israel.
- Consulting and Representing Kadmani Readymix Concrete Ltd. and Readymix Industries (Israel) Ltd., (a CEMEX Enterprise) in a variety of personal injuries, property damage claims, and construction disputes.
- Successfully represented a concrete batching plants contractor in a NIS multi-million arbitration related to the national scale Construction Project in the Dead Sea.
- Successfully represented Hachshara Insurance Company Ltd. in the heaviest mass casualty MVA in the history of Israel involving a tourist bus north of the southern resort city of Eilat on 16/12/2008.
- Successfully Represented one of the defendants in one of the most extensive corruption investigations in Israel’s history, known as "Israel Beiteinu Party - Case 242" involving both white-collar crime and director's and officer's liability insurance disciplines.
- Successfully Represented Afcon Control & Automation Ltd. in a multi-million NIS property damage claim, following a fire in one of the largest factories in Israel.
- Successfully Represented Erez Refrigeration & Engineering Manufacture & Service Ltd (Afcon Group) in a multi-million NIS commercial claim related to a refrigeration project in one of the largest factories in Israel.
- Successfully Represented Isfar, Brimag, and Migdal Insurance Company Ltd, in a series of product liability claims related to Electric devices of various brands imported to Israel.
- Successfully Represented A. Arenson, in a variety of personal injuries, property damage claims, and construction disputes involving owners and sub-contractors.
- Representing Insurance Companies such as Clal, Harel, Shirbit, and AIG in a variety of personal injuries, property damages, and insurance claims.
