Elad Levi is a partner in the Tel Aviv office of Naschitz Brandes Amir, specializing in civil and commercial litigation and class actions. His areas of expertise include insurance, environmental, diamond, and jewelry claims, and contractual and financial commercial claims.
Elad served as an assistant lecturer in Corporate Law, Contract Law, and Public Law at Reichman University (IDC Herzliya) and led the “Labor Law and Human Rights” and “Enforcement and In-Debtors Rights” clinics at the Academic College of Netanya. During his law studies, he was a teaching assistant to Prof. Guy Seidman, Prof. Eli Bukspan, and Dr. Hillel Sommer, and also served as a defense attorney at the Disciplinary Tribunal of Reichman University (IDC Herzliya). Since 2004, Elad has been actively involved in volunteer work with the "Halev Project," a nonprofit providing legal assistance to low-income individuals and underprivileged groups in labor court. He currently serves on the organization's managing board.
Since 2022, Elad has earned continuous recognition as a Recommended Lawyer by Legal 500, exemplifying his dedication and expertise in the legal field.
- Represented a tobacco company before the District and Supreme Court in a NIS 7bn class action filed by the Israeli Health Maintenance Organizations claiming smoking damages. The claim was dismissed.
- Defended tenants in a NIS 26m arbitration complaint, seeking enforcement and compensation of a TAMA 38 contract. The claims were dismissed.
- Represented inheritors in an action for the enforcement of an old power of attorney from 1958 entitling them to property in Ramat HaSharon valued at NIS 20m. The claims were accepted.
- Defended a real estate company against a NIS 10m claim alleging entitlement of an option to purchase property rights. The claim was dismissed.
- Defended tenants in an action for the enforcement of a contract and NIS 7m in compensation. The action was dismissed.
- Defended a chemical company against an action for the enforcement of an agreement and claims of product defectiveness evaluated at NIS 5m. The claims were dismissed.
- Representing one of the largest Israeli insurance agencies in a claim against it alleging misappropriation of trade secrets and clientele list.
- Represented HMOs before the High Court of Justice in a number of industry-wide petitions by civil rights organizations. The petitions were rejected.
- Represented security companies in actions for the receipt of insurance payouts relating to the interpretation of their insurance policies.
- Represented diamond and jewelry dealers and traders in monetary claims and defended insurance companies in multiple proceedings filed by diamond dealers seeking indemnification.
- Represented companies in various environmental tort cases.
- Represented companies and individuals in claims relating to allegations of sexual harassment and abuse.
